The idea came from the Daniel McGarry's challenge with the Futurism Solarpunk brief.
I took inspiration from the Iranian wind mill of Asbads with their really special shape. I loved this idea of something simple but efficient. I conbined it with a rain collector to get a lot of water during rain season and living all the year with it, stored in an underground cave.
The colored flags are inspired by the ones in Tibet. My idea behing it is that people living here are celebrating wind cause it's the source of their energy. There is wind all along the year, it's always here around them and they want these flags to make its presence even more visible.
For the mood it makes years I want to create something sunny but with a drak stormy background. I can often see it around my home, with a field of wheat on a hill, and that stormy, dark sky in the background. It's so beautiful!
This project could be the first part of new personnal IP around wind. I loved to read "La Horde du Contrevent" from Alain Damasio, and this idea of a world built around the wind is definitely something I want in my IP. The topic of using renewable ressources and being low tech is at the center of this project too.
